Why these three, and why they are free
Most calculators on the internet are lead-generation tools: you enter your numbers, and the answer is withheld until you hand over an email address or book a call. That is a reasonable business model, and it also puts the answer exactly where people stop looking.
These three are free and open because they answer questions that should never have been complicated. If you cannot work out your landed cost, your margin or your break-even point, every other business decision — pricing, hiring, taking on that big order — is guesswork. Making them available costs us nothing and makes the rest of the site more useful.
